The LUNYEE mini hold-down is a top clamp: an aluminium arm reaches over the edge of the stock, and a hand knob pulls it down until the blank is pinned to the bed. It opens to 1.77 inches, which covers a 45 mm block of oak or a stack of two 20 mm boards.
Thick stock is where a top clamp wins. A deep pocket or a relief in hardwood pushes the blank sideways with every plunge, and pressure straight down turns the whole underside into a friction pad that resists it. Side clamps, which only squeeze the edges, lose that contest on tall blocks.

The detail that sets this clamp apart is on the jaw. LUNYEE fits two protective covers, one at the front and one at the rear, so the aluminium arm never touches the workpiece or the table directly.

The covers do not replace sensible pressure. Tighten the knob until the stock cannot be pushed by hand, then stop; extra torque only raises the load on the thread and on soft stock.

Height is the other fit question. The clamp stands 62 mm tall, and the collet nut has to clear it on every rapid move between cuts.
A quick way to check a new setup is to jog the spindle around the part outline with the bit raised to clearance height and the spindle off. If nothing touches, the job can run.
