- 300 × 180 × 45 mm
- 775 brushed spindle, ER11 collet
- Offline controller: runs without a PC
The 3018 is one open frame design, and many names have sold it. Yora, Comgrow Robo and Alfawise C10 are no longer current machines; Genmitsu, Twotrees, CNCTOPBAOS, RATTMMOTOR, VEVOR, LUNYEE and the 3018-SE V2 makers carry the design on.
Logged September 2026Yora's 3018-PRO, the Comgrow Robo and the Alfawise C10 have left the market. The same 300 × 180 mm frame now comes from Genmitsu, Twotrees, CNCTOPBAOS, RATTMMOTOR, VEVOR, LUNYEE, WolfPawn, ACMER and the makers of the 3018-SE V2.
The 3018 belongs to no single company. It shares its parts with the small GRBL routers sold in 1610 and 2418 sizes, and the 30 × 18 cm version became the one everyone copied.
Open a 3018 from almost any maker and the same parts appear. Side plates in moulded plastic or bakelite, an aluminium T-slot bed, steel guide rods, T8 lead screws, NEMA 17 steppers, a 775 spindle in a clamp and a GRBL board in a small case. The badge changes more often than the parts.
That shared design is why names come and go so easily. A brand can start selling a 3018 in a season and stop just as fast, and owners of the old badge keep running the machine on parts from whoever makes the frame now.
It also means a name like Yora 3018-PRO describes a frame more than a company. The 3018-PRO notes compare the kits that follow that frame most closely today.

The Yora CNC carving machine 3018-PRO was one of the many badges on the classic moulded-plate frame. Like every 3018-PRO of its time, it paired a 775 spindle with a GRBL board and a 300 × 180 mm aluminium bed, and it is no longer a current machine.
Two makers still build that recipe with little change. The CNCTOPBAOS 3018-PRO keeps the 420 × 350 × 270 mm frame and 775 spindle, and adds an upgraded GRBL 1.1f board in a case, with a power switch, a fan and ports for an E-stop, a probe and limit switches. Its offline controller reads G-code from an SD card.
RATTMMOTOR's 3018-PRO uses black injection-moulded frame parts, an aluminium alloy work table and stainless lead screws. Its board supports an E-stop and X, Y and Z limits, recognises an offline controller automatically and cools itself with a quiet fan.
The Comgrow Robo 3018 CNC router milling machine carried the open frame under Comgrow's badge. The Alfawise C10 came from an own-label brand. Neither is a current machine, and Alfawise as a brand has disappeared altogether.
Both are still out there in garages, and both run on the same class of parts as any open-frame 3018. The board is the component that most often fails, or needs replacing to gain features like limit switches and a laser header.
After swapping a board, set the travel limits to the frame. F-Yi's notes ask owners to enter 30 cm and 18 cm as the X and Y strokes for a 3018, which in GRBL means the maximum travel settings.
Power adapters, 775 spindles and limit switches follow the same logic. A 24V brick with the right barrel plug, a 20,000 rpm 775 and a six-pack of micro switches cover most of what an orphaned 3018 needs. The upgrade order ranks them.
CNCTOPBAOS keeps the classic 3018-PRO recipe: a 775 spindle, 300 × 180 × 45 mm of travel and an offline controller with an SD card reader. Its cased GRBL 1.1f board adds ports for an E-stop, a probe and limit switches.
Get it hereThe 3018-SE V2 is the compact branch of the family. It keeps the 3018 name, uses a lighter aluminium-and-plastic build, sits inside a clear enclosure on most versions and runs an 80W spindle.
FoxAlien sold a 3018-SE V2, and replacement 12V adapters still carry its name alongside the FAC30 model code. Today several makers build SE V2 frames, and the family comes in a few forms.
Power is the detail to watch. Current SE V2 builds state a DC 24V 5.6A supply, while replacement adapters for FoxAlien's FAC30 SE V2 are 12V, so read the rating plate before buying a spare. The 3018-SE V2 sits in the lowest band of the price range.
The 3018 Plus is a looser name. Some makers used it for 3018-PRO-style frames, and today it survives mostly in parts: X-axis upgrade kits and limit-switch sets name the 3018 Plus beside the 3018 Pro and Max. A Plus owner can treat it as a 3018-PRO for parts, after checking rod diameter and screw lead.

Status from the 3018 machines on sale in the US, September 2026. The frame is a shared design, so parts made for one name often fit another; rod diameter, screw lead and spindle size decide.
The current makers split along clear lines. Each one has a place in the range, and the best choice depends more on the job than on the badge.
| Maker | 3018 machines | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|
| Genmitsu (SainSmart) | 3018-PRO, 3018-PROVer V2 | The widest range of matching parts and a resource centre |
| Twotrees | TTC3018, TTC3018 Pro | 32-bit board; the Pro adds an all-metal Z |
| LUNYEE | 3018 Pro Max, 3018 Pro Ultra | 500W, 80 mm Z, linear guide on the Ultra |
| VEVOR | 3018 60W, 3018 500W | A 60W starter and an all-metal 500W version |
| CNCTOPBAOS, RATTMMOTOR | 3018-PRO, PRO-MAX | The classic frame with offline controllers |
| WolfPawn, ACMER | 3018 500W, Ascarva 3S | All-metal 500W frames with limit switches and E-stops |
Twotrees keeps its two machines close, and they differ where it counts: the Pro's metal Z on a T8 anti-backlash screw. The Pro runs its 32-bit board over USB only, with no Wi-Fi or card slot, so a laptop stays connected during a job.
Genmitsu's lead is the ecosystem. Probes, clamps, dust shoes, Z assemblies, Y extensions and laser modules all name its models, so a Genmitsu owner rarely drills a hole. The Genmitsu line-up compares its machines.
For metal, the 500W makers lead. LUNYEE's two frames get their own pages on the Pro Max and the Pro Ultra, and VEVOR's two 3018s cover both ends of the range from one name.
No, it is no longer a current machine. The CNCTOPBAOS and RATTMMOTOR 3018-PRO kits follow the same moulded-plate, 775-spindle recipe, and the Genmitsu 3018-PRO adds a wider parts range.
Many do, because the frame is shared. Check the guide rod diameter, the spindle clamp size and the spoilboard hole spacing before ordering.
Nothing under the Alfawise name. The Twotrees TTC3018 and the classic 3018-PRO kits fill the same place with a 775 spindle and a GRBL board.
A name some makers used for 3018-PRO-style frames. Upgrade kits and limit-switch sets still list it beside the 3018 Pro and Max, and it takes the same class of parts.
Genmitsu, with its parent SainSmart. Probes, clamps, spoilboards, Z assemblies, Y extensions and lasers are all made for its 3018-PRO and PROVer V2.
